SUPERFUND SITES: EPA - Superfund is the Federal government's program to clean up the nation's uncontrolled hazardous waste sites

  • Locate National Priorities List (NPL) Sites - The NPL is the list of national priorities among the known releases or threatened releases of hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants throughout the United States and its territories.
  • CERCLIS Hazardous Waste Sites And NFRAP Sites - CERCLIS is a database that includes all sites currently on the National Priorities List, or being considered for it. No Further Remedial Action Planned (NFRAP) sites are former CERCLIS sites.
  • Hazardous Waste Site Basic Query - You can enter criteria for obtaining a list of past, current, and potential NPL sites as well as those that have been removed from the NPL list. Search by location, by contaminant, by contaminant medium (air, soil, water), etc.
  • Hazardous Waste Site Advanced Query - You can enter more sophisticated criteria for obtaining a list of sites that meet those requirements.
  • Enviromapper: Maps by Geography - The Enviromapper allows you to map a particular area and see where Superfund sites are located.
  • Surf Your Watershed - You can map both watersheds and Superfund sites in a particular area.
